I had a program at one time that let you make multiple hangers on your computer, so fs would not have to load all your aircraft at one time. Now for the life of me i can't rember where i found it. Does anyone know what i'm looking for?

It was jab2000 by Jacky Brouze. Great program! He stopped updating it because some people were pirating and selling it. You can still find it if you search hard enough. It has a problem with FS9 but I can't remember what. It does work to some extent.

Alternatively you could simply create a new folder called 'Hangar' in the FS tree and just drag and drop the aircraft that you do not wish to fly for the time being just leaving the few that you know you want to use.

There is no need to move the guages etc, just the aircraft folder(s) then when you load FS the Sim will not 'see' the ones in your 'Hangar'.

Been doing this for some time now and it works for me. Just remember NOT to move any of the default M$ aircraft though.

ACT Aircraft Manager is a payware program that does the hanger thing. It does it by simply renaming the .air file, which effectively makes the aircraft invisible. No need to move large folders. You can do this yourself, obviously, by simply adding a number or letter or other symbol of your choice. Then simply go back and rename when you want to use the aircraft.

ACT is available at Flightsim.com. Just search for ACT. It has been updated quite a bit lately.
