Hi group,

I have completed installing the early series of planes for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (B-200/300), now to my dismay I cannot unearth the B-350 RFDS textures for the default plane or find a stand-alone aircraft in RFDS config.

Can anybody help please.

BTW don't get confused with another aircraft (Swedish) with an "RFDS" tag. I did. :frown:

TIA,

Al

Is this any help?

Yeah mates, that's where my two days searching left me. All I want's a skin.

I may have to paint my own.

Thanks,

Al

Or,

will I just proceed onto the RFDS jets (Hawker 800XP & Pilatus PC-12).

Decisions, decisions.

Cheers,

Al

I don't think the RFDS uses the KA-350. The 350 is a pretty big bird (almost as large as a 1900C) and not as capable in the dirt runway environment as the other King Air models.

Far as I know (not being from down under) they use the King air 200. The closest you'll find freeware to that is AFG's King Air 300 which is the 200 airframe with the engines off the 350. I think I've seen a RFDS paint for that plane. If you want to go Payware, there is the Aeroworx 200 available from Flight 1.

I just checked their website and they use the 200, not the 350. In that case, the AFG bird is your best choice.

this is what I found at Flightsim....

FS2004/FSX Royal Flying Doctors King Air 300. A texture of the Royal Flying Doctors Service of Australia for the Beechcraft King Air 300 of AFG (Allied FS Group) By Daniel Weselhoft.

Thanks Brian,

I believe you are right about the B350 engines, only, being used, not the aircraft. It seems they are on the B200 frame as the RFDS site mentions B200 only as vehicles of choice (even though a B300 has been done in RFDS texture - got me). I have those two.

They then went to the Pilatus PC12 (a remarkable single prop job). I have that in RFDS livery as well.

Their long-haul craft ATM is the 800XP2 (Bae/Raytheon/Hawker/Aerospatiale/......). Who owns what these days? Looking for texture.
