The P4M Mercator version 2.0 is an all new aircraft and is not an update to the previous released P4M Mercator
The changes include All new texture mapping and texture files. New 2D instrument panel with new panel background, New or revised instruments, and added a popup control wheel. Completely new VC Cockpit with new interior textures, new or revised instruments, new panel background and moving controls. Added a new fictional Fire Bomber version of the P4M Mercator.
Tthe P4M lost the competition to be the Navy's next maritime patrol and anti-submarine aircraft to the smaller and less expensive Lockheed P2V Neptune. The Mercator had a distinguished career in the electronic reconnaissance role.
These aircraft will work as AI aircraft if desired
Aircraft can fly with all four engines, jet engines only, or piston engines only. any of the engines can be started or shut down seperatly as desired using the 2d pedestal or the standard MSFS assigned keys.

Tried it out this morning on a short flight , very impressed.

Hard case flying using the jets only and with the props feathered :icon_lol:

Thanks for your latest "Merc's", Dave. I really think she wears the Aero Union colours well. Nice slurry effects too!! A definate step forward in your development of this fine, and not too often seen aeroplane. :medals: :salute:
