A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category FS 2004 Panels

Description: Hallo friends,
this is a 2D panel for the NH90 helicopter published by ABSimulations
for the reason I did not find a picture that pleased me to work out the pilots position
I choose to make it as seen from a third crew member with the two pilots flying.
I might also work in newer sims as FS2004, but some older gauges would not fit.
to be tested.
Happy flights and landings
Yours
Michael Vader

Thanks Papi. Helicopters aren't really my thing, but your efforts are appreciated as always.

Cheers,
Huub

Hallo Huub,
thank you for your reply.
There was a time or I saw more comments on my little works.
I know this site is more focussed on warbirds and the fans of helicopters might be only a few ones.
In real life I' m a real warbird fan.
On the other hand in my soldiers life I had a quiet close contact to helicopter flying.
And I must say they are wonderfull machines.. If one have the chance to have a low altitude "contour" flying experiance,
wow incomparable as experiance!
Than where I live I see a lot of exercises of the french Commandos de Marine with their choppers. OH Oh a lot of things to remember
returns from the memory lol.
Best regards
Michael

Thank you for a wonderful panel.

I think I get my love for helicopters from my dad. He spent 20yrs in Army aviation serving tours in Vietnam flying in Huey's and Chinooks. He was involved with the Black Hawk and after he retired he was an instructor on the Apache.

He passed Dec 2005 and I think of him often when I take a helicopter for a spin in my flight simulators.

Hi Rob,
yes chopper flying is really an exciting experiance. I Kosovo I did see the Neetherland pilots making "vietnam landings" with the Chinook.
Wow, very impressive. Now the german army will get Chinooks too to replace the good old CH-53. I loved this big bird an was always astonished what our pilots did with them. Especially at low altitude flying.
Before my flight gear decided to leave me I lovedd to fly following river valleys in germany and france.
I also tried with a Bo-105 to fly aerobatics as with the real one - crash crash. I think there are limitations of the fs2004 flight model to do aerobatics with an helicopter.
Never the less for the moment a panel for the AS342 gazelle is in the tube.
As you did metion The blackhawk and the apache. I had a flight in a blackhawk in the kosowo. for met it was feeling between the well loved UH-1D and the CH-53. Concerning the Apache just only from my flightsim view I always prefered the AH-1 Cobra which really oppened the way to combat helicopters.
So long
best regards
