Hello again there guys
I have made once again a repaint and this time of the excellent ex-payware Alpha Simulations Sikorsky S-55 now freeware. This repaint is of a SAAF Sikorsky S-55C, A5 (c/n 55-950) in some early 1957 colour scheme. In 1954 two S-55Cs had been ordered for the SAAF. In July 1956 the S-55s was shipped to Cape Town and assembled at AFS Ysterplaat. After assembly, additional markings were added including Springbok roundels, each side of the upper fuselage and one on the belly. A Yellow band 36 inch long at the tail rotor with the words Danger and Gevaar witha red arrow. The serial numbers were added on the tailboom and nose following the S-51 serials (A1-A3) an were A4(22-959) and A5(22-950). Later some dayglo was added to the nose and also to the tail rotor section, either denoting a training rotorcraft or when used at sea operations. The Springbok roundels were also traded for Castle insignia.
The repaint was uploaded at http://www.flightsim.com so be sure to check it out...
I have included a few screenshots below to show you how the repaint looks:
And as always I hope you guys like it and once again any feedback is welcome :welcome:
