FS2004 SAAF C-130B Hercules 28 Sqn # 403 (30 Years SAAF Hercs 1993)

Hi there guys

I have made a repaint for the payware CaptainSim Legendary C-130 in the colours of a of a SAAF C-130B Hercules of 28 Squadron in the special 30 years of the Hercules in SAAF service and also the 50th anniversary of 28 squadron. This C-130B Hercules was painted in the standard camo scheme of dark earth and olive drab with the springbok castle insignia and serial number near the rear of the fuselage, the aircraft serial number appeared on the nose and the underside was painted extra dark sea grey. The special scheme displayed the 50 Year Text in Yellow with the 28 Sqn Badge near the font of the aircraft. The Tailfin displayed the letters "30" in a special font with stripes of the old South African flag of Orange, White and Blue in the background.

To obtain the payware CaptainSim Legendary C-130 a purchase should be made from http://www.captainsim.com for this repaint to work. This repaint is 100% ACE (Aircraft Configuration Editor) compatible and can be installed through it.

A big thank you to Brent Best aka "Kremlin" for all the help regarding the SAAF 30 Years Herc's and 50 Year 28 Sqn Logo and text, without him this scheme would not have been possible.

I have uploaded the repaint at http://www.flightsim.com so be sure to check it out! Make a search for either SAAF or Pieters, if the repaints do not show yet it maybe due to the servers not showing them yet.

One of my near future projects will be a C-160 paint in SAAF colours *nudge nudge wink wink*

No permission needed !!! But post your repaint ONLY !!!!!!!!!!! at the "project site" PLEASE !!!!!! Not on any other like SIMVIATION, AVSIM, FLIGHTSIM:COM...etc


make a repaint and send me a screenie. I'll talk with Markus ;-) Can't await to see a camo or white / silver repaint.... btw I'm tired to paint FS9 Transalls...Waiting for the FSX version ;-)... And once again THX to "baster" . Without your repaints my cheap little stuff would not be possible ;-)

btw the project lives from people who support with repaints, other stuff and maybe a little bit of money ;-)

I will keep you up to date on the SAAF C-160 paints, still need to do a decent metal SAAF C-130 Herc before I get to the Transalls:jump:

I have a few C-130 schemes still to come so keep your eyes glued to the forums. And as always al repaints are made for the SAAF, I paint nothing other then SAAF planes:salute:
