Howard AFB base was opened in the early 1930's to provide protection for the Panama Canal and provide a warm water port for America's new two-ocean navy. With the rise of the carrier is was realized that the canal zone was particularly vulnerable to attack and that an air base for friendly fighters and observation craft was essential. Over it's almost 70 year career the base has hosted virtually every kind of aircraft in the U.S. arsenal. This scenery is intended to show Howard in a 1990's...
