Continuing on the 'maybe' theme for Nigel's Avro; here is Avro 646 Sea Tutor (Townend ring cowl) dressed as RAAF 107 Sqn, Rathmines NSW @ 1942

107 sqn was the seaplane training squadron and also one of the east coast patrol squadrons using Vought Kingfishers diverted from Netherlands East Indies.
However, as was the trend they could have acquired a training aeroplane (it would have been a Tiger Moth) for use as a hack.
