FS9 Needs a good E-2C Hawkeye....

Exactly as the title says....So many payware and freeware offerings for Navy aircraft, but not a true 'high-end' E-2 in sight; Definitely ranks up there with my most favorite aircraft. I know a while back Iris was working on one, but is has not been mentioned in a while. I have flown all of the freeware ones currently available, but they aren't VC equipped and most lack the overall 'feel'. If, say, Lionheart was to do one, though...

The only one I have is the Flight deck 4 version from Abacus, haven't flown her for a while, will dig her out and take some screenies if I find her.

E2C is a nice aircraft, i like the COD myself... iris E-2C was in works alongside with Razbam if i recall right... but i don't think it got very far as the IRIS Avro Vulcan came on scene....

Been eyeing up the Vulcan, but held off for now, I have all the IRIS FS9 stuff, thought I had the F20, but my download was incomplete, many months later got FSX to discover this upon installation, bummer.

You get the Greyhound with FD4 aswell, if I remember they're not the best of quality, I haven't flown them that much, especially recently. They were to shiney aswell, so I knocked them down a touch, just needed to knock back the alpha channel to make them look more satin than polished, but never did. Planned to repaint them in the process, nothing fancy, I just hate dark black panel lines.

...Exactly; and JD---The FD one isn't terrible, but I think the E-2 has been neglected overall. I would love to see one done more....complete?

Agreed, Richard. The Tracer is another on my list...as is the COD. I will keep my fingers crossed...

I think RAZBAM had a Hawkeye in the works, not sure if it was for FSX only though. The pics of, what I am assuming is the FSX version, were very nice.

Amen to that. One of my favorites too. There is a decent FS2002 version by Rick Sasala with extra textures available that I made more realistic to fly. I would love to see an updated one and would be willing to pay for a good one.

lol...I guess I should have been more specific and said...'ANY E-2'...good call! And an FSX version simply won't do. Not planning on switching over for 2 more years.....at least.
