For those who havent seen yet, the FSD T-38 Talon has been updated to work with FSX/Accel by a kind individual:

Great plane, even with the update. Quick question though, how can I download the slew of paints on flightsim and have them show the correct textures used in the FSX update. For example, the NASA paint included in the package is circa 1950-1970, and flightsim has the new livery here:

http://flightsim.com/kdl.php?fid=57969

But when loaded into FSX, the new NASA paint shows a black canopy.

Any ideas how to correct this?

After reading the file description I'll pass. I really liked the original in FS9, but I know from having tried to replace the gauges myself that FSD had an odd coding for the gauges that made it very difficult to do anything with the panel. The fella who did this update mentions that the panel "is not as good as the original FSD panel". Since I fly exclusively from the VC, "not as good" won't work.

As for the canopy, there should be a texture in the texture file that is called glass.bmp or something similar to that. . .maybe VCglass.bmp. . .anyway, that texture will need an alpha change to get the canopy back to transparent.

Copy any of the textures related to glass or vc glass from one of the updated model's texture folders into the new NASA texture folder (that you downloaded) and overwrite. Should clear things up. :salute:

Cheers,
Dave
