FSX FX10 and cockpit tool tips

After converting to FX10 I lost my taxi path guides and a few other things, but thanks to some tips from this forum dealt with that issue and the sim is running better than ever now (cross fingers, old man fate just read that so am bracing for another glitch out of the blue!).

I have one more issue, and that involves the "tool tips" - not the "flying tips" - that used to automatically appear near a switch or lever or valve in FSX (w/FX9 running) if you had the box checked in preferences. I still have that box checked but I've lost the tool tips.

Yeah, I know one way to handle it is to go back to FX9 but, seriously, is there is fix for this issue?
