Feel free to comment. Also, I feel that the rivets and lines are too big, so I plan on redoing them. The exterior textures will also be in HD.

The external model is starting to look quite good. Great job :)
I hope you can improve the virtual cockpit too, this helo really needs it.

Ive also tried the helicopter at night in stormy weather , but please note that the night texture has not been applied yet , thats why it looks so bright :D

Sorry about this but just going back a month to this point that caught my eye.

Why do you need a night texture on the exterior? Unless you specifically need some sort of lighting on the exterior (eg lights on the tail of airliners to highlight the logo) you shouldn't need a night texture as the exterior will just darken naturally as the sun goes down.

Maybe you've sorted this out since the pics were posted (it was over a month ago).

He's not the modeler, I am, so he doesn't know much about the modeling stuff. There is no night texture, and I have no intentions to have one. It was just the way I set up the textures back then, it was somehow using the main texture as the night map. Now, it uses a black image so that everything looks fine at night.

I hope you meant blank image rather than black image.

If not try using no image rather than a black image. ie leave the nightmap image filename blank. You'll get better framerates for one thing.

Just a little progress report: The antennas on the tail have been added. The foot petals have been modeled and need to be texture mapped. The landing lights have been modeled and need to be texture mapped.

Stay tuned, as the exterior is near completion. After this, all attention will be on the VC.

Time for an update. The nose was remapped because the original way it was done caused problems when you ran a stripe across the nose. (The stripe would be distorted and bent) The rear door is now animated. Stay tuned for more info!

UPDATE !

first of all ...the project is not dead ( yippy ) =D ....work continues .....BUT ...

No luck on getting a team together, and since no one wants to help, here is how it will go.

We have not heard from Lucas in months. So, Brandon will have to do the gauges and FDE Himself , The SAR variant will be the only model included and in ICG livery. (Other variants/updates may come at a later date)
