• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

FSX Noise Problem

I installed FSX Gold and have a noise problem. When I am switching between views, when I hit COCKPIT I very often get a load noise like breaking squelch or heavy static that overwhelms normal radio conversation. This does NOT happen all the time, but frequently.

I also have a scroll message from Timmerman Field in Milwaukee (I'm flying out of Whittman, Oshkosh, WI) and radio traffic about conditions at Timmerman. I can get rid of it using the mouse and dropdowns ... but it too is VERY ANNOYING!

I finally just uninstalled FSX because I cannot stand flying with these problems.

Anybody got a hint as to what is causing these situations and what I can do about it?

had a similar problem, with sound "popping" when I would rotate the views in any direction, inside or outside cockpit. I reinstalledmy video drivers and it solved the issue.
