FSX on an SSD?

I've had my desktop with a SSD over a year now and the only improvements are faster loading times and fewer hiccups while flying. To me, it does make a difference though it won't help with additional FPS gains, those depend mostly on 1) CPU 2) GPU and 3) RAM.

Jose.

make sure that the SSD is TRIM command capable, because, as all of us know, FSX installations can get very large and consist of thousands of files and the installation volume changes frequently (adding and deleting of add-ons).

I installed my FSX on an Intel SSD 80Gb.
I confirm that it won't give any additionnal FPS, however the loading times and the general smoothness in flight are drastically improved.

Does it help with the blurries on photo or ORBX scenery? They don't really have anything to do with FPS, but definitely impact the enjoyment of a flight. I believe faster I/O should help there, but I'm sure a good chunk of it is CPU as well.

They improve loading times so they definitely have an impact with photoscenery loading.
But even if you read the textures fast enough, if the CPU doesn't handle them fast enough then you'll get blurries anyway. It's not possible to give a real answer unfortunately.
