Every one of Milton's (and team's) creations outdoes their last. Thank you all for adding to the enjoyment of sim!

I have one question, and I've read the documents without coming up with a fix. I took the C-60 up for a hop around LA and could not get the radios or avionics to work. Battery was on, generators too, but for some reason the avionics master switch cover won't stay up long enough for me to move the switch to "on." The assigned keyboard keys for avionics activation have no effect at all, so I'm left with no radio or AP. It's probably in front of me but I can't figure this out.

Same here. I had to load and start another aircraft, then switch over to the Lodestar to get the radio/avionics to function only to discover I couldn't change any of the Nav or ADF settings. Eventually I swapped out the radio stack from the Harpoon as a temporary fix.

Otherwise, its a beautiful aircraft and I look forward to more flights.

If you have issues, report them and they will be fixed if at all possible.

The issue with the radios is the Radio section of the aircraft.cfg.

Replace yours with the following:

[Radios] // available, standby frequency, has glide slope
Audio.1 = 1
Com.1 = 1, 0
Com.2 = 1, 0
Nav.1 = 1, 0, 1
Nav.2 = 1, 0, 0
Adf.1 = 1
Adf.2 = 1
Transponder.1 = 1
Marker.1 = 1

The cover animation simply indicates that you have changed the position of the switch.

It should switch from one position to the other if the cover moves.

My tooltip shows it working fine here.

Can you verify with the tooltip turned on?

I updated the radio entry as suggested, but still no radios.

The tooltip for the avionics switch does show, and indicates it as (on) but there is still no avionics as indicated by a blank GPS and inability to chat with ATC.

My default flight is with the default Cessna in a cold and dark state. Startup is with Ctrl+E. Engines fire up just fine and sound great. I can taxi and fly and turn on exterior lights. Only item not functioning is the avionics switch.

WH,

What version of FSX do you run? I run Accel here.

Try changing this statement in the Electrical section of the aircraft.cfg.

Mine works either way:

From:
avionics_bus = 1, 10, 17
To:
avionics_bus = 0, 10, 17

I've got FSXA running under Win 8.1.

The two suggested changes did the trick - changing the entry to the [radios] section and to the avionics bus.

As for the avionics switch itself, it doesn't function. When you attempt to open the cover, it just flaps up and down so you cannot get to the switch itself and turn it on or off.

Only other minor item related to this subject is that it took awhile to find the hotspot for changing the ADF. The hotspot is just outside the Volume button. Without a tool tip is was challenging to see the changes on the ADF.

Thanks, Milton

The cover acts as the switch. If the cover moves, the switch has changed positions.

Thanks for this info, Milton. I've made the changes suggested and am going to try them again shortly. Will let you know if they alleviated the problem.

On my bird the avionics cover would move to varying degrees, but always return to the closed posit. I reloaded the aircraft this afternoon. On another attempted flight a short time ago, I could see the tip of the avionics switch toggle moving over the closed switch cover (?).

I'm running FSX w/Accel on Windows 7 HP.

EDIT: That did the trick. She flies well now, AP + comms are OK. Tip of the avionics toggle switch still shows through the switch cover but that's not an issue. As always, a first rate job. Thanks again, Milton!
