FSX repaints

Hi guy's,

I was wondering if someone could maybe point me in the right direction on creating repaints. I dont know what program or talent is needed but there are a couple of helicopters I would like to do.

"Repaint tutorial" on Youtube turns up some video tutorials, for example this one:

The hardest thing isn't getting the paints into FSX, it's actually getting to know your paint program so you know which tools to use for what effect.

Just try it out and practise, practise, practise.

for the info but after looking at it I really doubt I am going to master the art to repaints.I am just going to leave it to the professionals. If anyone wants do do some NAS Jax SAR repaints it would greatly be appreciated.

Just give it a try!
Tons of easy things seem complicated at first.

I just started doing some repaints and if can do it anyone can. They are not as good as some of the pros you find around but I get a little better with each one. Don't give up. Give it a shot nothing to lose but a little time. Good luck!

I agree, if I can do it, anyone can.
The first one are the hardest, but after that, it becomes real easy.
And if you run into problems, you can always ask.
One tip: start with a model that has a good paintkit.

Well I am wanting to do repaints for the Alphasim S-55,H-46 Seaknight and the Kaman Seasprite. But before I do I would have to get permission from Alphasim right??

Read the readme. If there's nothing about any limitations or regulations for repaints in there, repaint it anyways and just credit them for the aircraft and yourself for the repaint.
