Should be fine for fsx. The cpu will benefit from some overclocking to ~3.5GHZ in order to maximise your simming experience.

I'd up the CPU, or overclock it. FSX needs all the CPU power you can give it. Good choice on the vid card, should do well. Personally, the monitor is too small, I run a 24 in widescreen and can't imagine anything smaller. I always get a full tower as it's easier to work on, more room, but that is up to you.

I just built a computer almost like that except for the HDDs and the Case and vid card

Get a nice cooler for that i7..Nocturna or a V-8 and OC that 920 to 3.6-3.8 and it will rock FSX......

The S1283 is one of the best coolers on the market. I've got it in my rig too.
