FSX SE API.DLL crash to desktop

Hi all

I have tried pretty much every other flightsim forum in the hope of looking for the magic bullet to fix the API.DLL CTD that occurs fairly frequent when I launch FSX se
I have followed suggestions Like delete saved flights, log book, delete and rebuild a new FSX CFG, run integrity files in steam app.

I have heard people have uninstalled and reinstalled FSX se but that hasn't worked. I don't know if I want to go down the road of uninstalling everything and starting from scratch only to have the same issue reappear so I am wondering if anyone here has had the same issue and maybe a fix

Try this link and see it applies your situation. It appears this problem may be caused by a Windows update that is NOT un-installable.

I had seen that issue regarding a windows update although no fix
Not everyone is having this issue and like any PC no 2 are the same like there users.

At some stage when I can upgrade to a new PC I will move.to 2024 when it comes out
