FSX Skycrane

Not to be impatient but has anyone heard any news on how the MilViz skycrane is coming along?

And while I am asking is there a Kmax available for FSX?

Thanks

Well I have D/L JM's 2002 crane and the 2004 update and it does work in FSX, win7. It is flyable, so maybe this will be enough of a "fix" till the FSX native comes about.

We are working very hard to bring the S-64 out as quickly as possible. That being said I have recieved the real aircraft manual and the Nemeth's are steadily plugging away at getting things programmed in. I will definately as soon as things get cleared up and the aircraft is presentable be posting in game screenshots in the forums. As Colin has said we hope to have her out before x-mas. As always we know things can happen, and we definately want things to go smoother this time around than with the Huey. Other than that there are no further updates for the time being. It is actively still being developed. So do not worry. Sorry for any confusion.

Kamov vs. Kaman

Kaman Kmax is the full name of the Russian (i believe) helicopter.

They are used for logging, when my attention was drawn to them.

I'm sorry mate but you are wrong ;)

The russian helicopter name is Kamov, it's the name of the lead engeneer and the name of all models made in Kamov Design Bureau, Russia. Usually Kamov's are helicopters with coaxial twin counter-rotating rotors (one axes through the second, one rotor disc above other ).

In contrary, Kaman Aircraft is an American company, which produced such a helicopters like SH-2 Seasprite or Huskie. The last one is typicall representative of the concept for Kaman's latest product - the K-Max. It's twin-rotor as Kamov too, but it's not coaxial mounted. Istead, both axes are separated and positioned in different angles, rotor discs are rotating through each other synchronized to avoid collision.

The great thing about hanging around here is that you don't need a good memory:icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol: Everybody is looking out for ya! I stand corrected on giving any false info.
Thanks guy's
