FSX Steam Edition and Manfred Jahn's C-47 & C-117 Fuel

Hello all;

Since it was on sale, I grabbed the FSX Steam Edition and gave it a spin.

One thing I noticed was that the Fuel Control Panel on Manfred Jahn's C-47 and C-117 no longer seem to work properly...could not get fuel to move out of the aux tanks using the switches.

A 'work around' I figured out was to make a small change to the [fuel] section of the aircraft.cfg, specifically:

number_of_tank_selectors = 4

Once I did this, the aircraft drew fuel from the wing aux tanks, then the aux tanks, then the main tanks. The fuel also flowed symmetrically from each side to the working engine on an 'engine out' situation.

There may be a better way to get the fuel system overhead panel to work properly but until then this will keep the blades turning at least.

Matt
