FSX Weather

Does anyone know of a tutorial or any tips on how to control the default weather in FSX.

I find the information in the sim itself of not much help. Don't remember having this problem in FS9. Wonder if something has changed?

Unfortunately I am unable to purchase an addon at this time.

I try and use the user-defined weather and most of the time the it will not change.

I have tried getting the weather from a different airport that I know is having the same conditions as my area and the sim doesn't change.

Very frustrating.:banghead:

after you hit the user define weather hit the cutomize button. After that hit the Advanced button and you will have all of your choices. In the box that has your plane displayed you will have to drag the blue box to what altitudes you want the conditions to exist. Well, that the basics...play around from there with all the options.
