Full Motion Prospect

I sat in a similar machine at the Farnborough Air Show last year. Great fun. But for those who want a full-motion sim at home: I flew a full-motion F-16 simulator once and not the looping and spinning was the most spectacular and immersive, but the subtle cues of power changes and light turbulence during landing and in formation flight. That effect was only partially created by the motion platform, but much more by inflatable seat cushions, safety belts that were tightened or loosened according to the situation, and vibrators. In short, equipment that we may have in rudimentary form one day at home.

That would be cool if some day we could adapt that machine into the simulator. Just one issue, I'm gonna need a bigger house!

It's all fun and games until Cyberdyne turns on you, LOL, looks fun! :ernae:

I am lucky enough to have "flown" several full motion simulators at Delta Air Lines. Then coming back to the PC was a big disapointment after that experience. :icon_lol:
