It seems timing the link between your ace tactics is the key.

Can't say i haven't miscalculated my ground dive trick. Not sure how fooled the enemy is when i slam into the ground =D.
Odd though that some machines pilots carry chutes and bail. Even more so that you get bonus points for shooting the buggers down whilst they drift helplessly >=).
