Fw190 progress update

Mathias

SOH-CM-2024
Hello everyone,

it looks as if all artwork (3d-modelling and painting) is done on the late variants.
Systems and coding is in up to the level of the early variants and we'll now concentrate fully on additional system programming and flight-modelling.
More on that soon.
All in all we should be in for a release well before christmas.
Below is a screenshot of each sub-variant and paint scheme included to the package.
If you have questions or suggestions just fire away.
Other than that enjoy!

......and here's a visual overview of the most important cockpit variations.
There are more, but these are more subtle modifications reflecting the different weapons loadouts of the various "R" versions and the like.
Note the right consoles of the A-5 to A-7 sub variants are virtually identical.
The A-7 uses newer versions of gunsight, artificial horizon, airspeed indicator and rpm indicator and has the left console simplified over the previous versions.
The A-8 has stuff changed and moved around allover the place, particularly due to the new FuG16 ZY radio, the added variometer and the additional 115 liters fuel tank, particularly due to simplification in production processes.
Allover there are three different artifical horizons in use.

Fantastic work :applause::applause::applause:

Coincidentally just flown your early version FW190 - good to see this one.

Every time you post an update my jaw hits the floor a little harder. As a 190 lover you couldn't ask for more. All the A variants and they have top notch modelling and vcs that you might as well actually be sitting in. Also I can't speak for this package but if it's anything like the early variants, the performance in terms of smoothness in frames is some of the best.

Cheers guys!

Jan, as you can see we left more schemes for the repainters this time around. :engel016::wavey:

good thing I found myself some books on the 190 then...
but you didn't leave too many I think?

Guess there should be some nice schemes amongst the other 20.000+ Fw190produced. :bump: Hermann Graf's "circus" A-5 comes to mind and many more A-8 and A-8/R2 machines.
We didn't do any plane from the african/mediterranean theatre for instance. Mind you, all aircraft that served in Tunisia being described in the literature as "F2" are actually A-5's.

I just hope ther is someway that can made for the swastika symbol to be added by the model owner after purchase, maybe a texture patch as freeware?

Although I detest right wing facist politics in any shape or form, to me, those wonderful models look 'un-finished'!!! Stopping the symbol used in an historical context will not undo all the wrongs caried out by the Naxi party.

Many of the Luftawaffe FW-190 pilots who fought bravely and courageously were not party members and I think it is wrong to try and sweep everything under the carpet an a fit of 'political correctness'.

As long as the symbol is not used as a badge or rallying point (i.e. on a personal PC used for Flight Simming), I cannot see the problem.

Calypsos, as a German citizen I'm bound to German law which strictly prohibites the display of the swastica except in an educational or artistical context, and that is for good reasons may I add.
Flight simulation games are not considered as art by German courts, so....
However, those who have purchased the early variants know that it's very easy and straight forward to add historically correct tail markings the day after release. :monkies:
Talking about tail markings, this release uses a decal sheet which allows the painting of nose/fuselage/tail art on a separate sheet in higher resolution than the "surrounding" fuselage surfaces.

I must admit, I would want the swasticas on mine and I'm sure someone will make the patch like they did for the first addition of these stunning aircraft!
