Last week I got the CLS 747-200/300 version. Any better versions out there ? I have some VC issues with this one.
How is the PMDG FX 747-400 ? I had it for FS9 but was so hard on my old machine I only flew it once or twice..
It would be a shame not to have a top noch 747 for FX. Thx!:icon29:
 
I can heartily recommend the PMDG 744, Lucien.........it's a fantastic,and complicated :icon_lol: addon. Frames are not bad at all considering the complexity of the aircraft.
 
Thx guys, I quess I,m a man with simpler needs that I thought before since the PMDG model has been sold to me because of those retractable cockpit yellow curtains..:icon_lol: So there,s my new747-400.
How about the 747-200/300 ? Should I stay with the CLS version ,or are any better versions out there ? I kinda like this smaller 747,s .Specialy the Air force One.

I and another 747 Captain associate of mine were consultants to PMDG on the 747-400. I think they did a very good job in recreating the capabilities of the aircraft. It is fully as complex as the real thing and has a steep learning curve! The work on the FSX version was quite extensive considering that they had already done a FS9 version.

There are limitations in what can be done with the FSX sim engine, even with extensive workarounds, but they have done as good a job as one could expect with this.

Maybe, since lots of us were born somewhere else..We do screw that score up..my bad..It wasn,t the case here though,it,s just a simple typing error with my clumsy fingers that i missed looking at the big picture. Notice the S& D position on the keybord.I do appreciat pointing the mistake out regardless of the style.And yes this are WIP shots ..any other mishaps that I can,t see ..?

Yago9 sir,We were not speaking of your spelling,rather the spelling on AirForce1 and whom created the skin,note on the side of the aircraft......"Unites States of America" it should read
"United States of America" that being said I can tell you I didn't win any spelling contests myself!!! lol:icon_lol:
 
Omg..this is funny..Do I have to pull your sleave or spell it in a different way in order for you to understand that I made that skin and all the rest ?Was my mistake What do you think I was talking about ? D and S ? Ok..again I probably hit S on the keybord instead off D ..that,s why it shows Unites instead of United..Painting a texture takes focus in more than on part at the same time,
like size of the letters , position, blending, so you may miss an obvious mistake like that..That,s another purpose of WIP shots, someone else may spot something that I couldn,t ,watching it so intensly for long time..It was a good catch Sir, but not by you and I can see why . You just joined the fray .. The way you pointed out may let the impression of a light superiority complex and that would be necessarily fair...I may be wrong though.Language barrier or something..Cheers!
 
LOL, I didn't pick up on that fact that you'd painted that AF1 skin originally either, yago9. I still would have pointed out that errant "s", but I'd have added another comment -- nice looking paint! The shots you're showing here are some good-looking stuff. :wiggle:
 
lol..No big deal .I had to change my avatar though. The point of my post was to see If I made the best choice on getting the CLS 747-200/300..It looks stunning but is not a true FX model and I have some issues with the VC quality. I was wonder if there,s a better FX version so i can decide if i should stop waisting my time with this one..
 
If I had that avatar and it was loose, i'd do more than hit the wrong keys! We caught a King Cobra at U-Tapeo and let me tell you, that was the most evil looking thing that I ever saw!

@yago9 Haha!!! I had no idea you made the skin!!! Ahh the colors look great!! Since I originally didn't know you made the skin my comment was not directed at you personally.Please don't take offence.
