Game controller

Here's an interesting one:

I'm running with a Saitek FLY5 joystick. It works perfectly well in FS9 and FSXA. I can assign buttons without issue.
When I try to assign buttons in P3D, I'm only offered the mouse as a game controller.

The joystick does work - except for button assignments.

Any clues?

Dave, is it recognized at all in P3D? I mean, does the thing show up in the sim?

EDIT: according to the Saitek site, it should be supported! http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/fly5.html

annoying Windows 8

Let me guess. You have Windows 8?
I had the exact same problem. There are many more users with the same issue. My solution: Try the Win10 tech preview. If have it on my PC since two days. Everything works perfect here and I had no more missing controllers!
Of course you can go with FSUIPC. But if you use ezdok, than you need the default Hat Switch.

With best regards,
