Game of Thrones - again

Last night's episode. Seriously . . WTF!!??

Out of all the people vying for the throne Robb Stark was the one who deserved it the most in my opinion. Now they are all dead except for Arya and Sansa. When Lady Stark pulled back the sleeve of the man sitting next to her and saw the chain mail under it I knew what was coming. Why? . . . Why? . . Why why why?

On another note we haven't heard anything from poor Theon Greyjoy since, uh, since, ... well, you know, ... uh, how can I put this, ...well, uh, since he became less of a man.

My jaw :jawdrop: hit the floor when it happen, was not expecting that. Catelyn Stark knew something was up before she pulled the sleeve back, when she watched the man close the main hall doors. There are 2 more Stark boys left (Bran and Rickon) plus the bastard son Jon Snow. As for Theon, i'm sure we will be seeing more of him soon, as he wasn't killed off.

Ah, "The Red Wedding".
Playing the "Game of Thrones", you win or you die.

People who have read the books even had the same reaction to that scene.
I have read of several instances where people threw their books across the room. :icon_lol:
However, as Tyrion Lannister stated in the preview for next week's episode, "The Northerner's will never forget..."
What goes around, comes back around, (although that will be next season, I suspect. And the seasons after...).

I really found out just how much I have invested in the television series last night.
When the servant shut the doors to the hall, my stomach actually knotted up.
And when the band began to play, "The Rains of Castamere" (Lannister "theme" song) it was like someone then punched me very hard in that knotted up stomach.
I remember I just kept saying out loud and repeating, "oh no"...
I knew it was going to be graphic and they actually did a good job toning it down. :icon_lol:
Michelle Fairley did Catelyn Stark's scene to perfection.

Truly one of my favorite television series ever, now.

"Winter is coming..."

Damn, I knew I shouldn't have looked in this thread, LOL
I watch them all on DVD since I don't have cable and I "was" anxiously waiting for season 3, LOL:isadizzy:

Don't worry. Still the best season to watch yet.
Things have actually just started to get going in the GoT universe.

It's gonna get freaky! :icon_lol:

House Stark is not wiped out. Apart from Arya and Sansa, Bran and Rickon are both still alive. If you've read a lot of Fantasy and SF, you already know these dynastic families are at their most dangerous when their enemies think they have the upper hand. I've read all the books so I'll try not to spoil things for people who haven't by saying too much. There's also no guarantee things will play out in the tv series in precisely the same way they do in the books. I saw several changes in the Red Wedding from the source material that I didn't understand. As The King Under the Mountain says, things are just getting started. IMO the Ice and Fire books have a very modernist sensibility that puts off some people weaned on traditional epic structure. Martin makes a point of emphasizing that ANYONE can get it in his world, regardless of how sympathetic they are.
