Hi All

Been flying Dave Garwoods Lancaster for years now and only just realised that it sits quite a bit above the runway does anybody have any edited contacts points for it to stop this at all

Also how do you edit the cfg file to give an aircraft differential brakes, reduce the effect of the flaps and airbrake..I find Mr Ito's F-14 takes off like a BUFF when the wings are swept back :icon_lol:

Thanks
Matt

Hi,,
For modifications of contact points : (this is a sample .. not those from the Lanc !!)

This is the tailwheel (or nozewheel) 4th number from the left)
point.0 = 1, -19.4451, 0, -1.859, 1500, 0, 0.5, 45, 0.5, 2.5, 0.6, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0

This is the two main gear wheels (4th number from the left)
point.1 = 1, 2.4969, -5.0798, -7, 3500, 1, 0.8, 0, 0.6, 2.5, 0.29, 5, 5, 2, 0, 0
point.2 = 1, 2.4969, 5.0798, -7, 3500, 2, 0.8, 0, 0.6, 2.5, 0.29, 5, 5, 3, 0, 0

You can ajust the position of the contact point by modifiying the bold numbers.
Usually more negative value will up the wheels from the ground and vice versa.
In your case I guess you have to reduce slightly this value ..

Don't forget:
1 save your original aircraft.cfg
2 Reload the plane after each modification for see the result.

Glad I could help Hurricane. I had a dream once where I went out to get in my car one morning and the contact points were off so it was sitting a foot above the driveway. I took a week off tweaking anything in FS after that.
