GAS Great Lakes Update

Spad54

SOH-CM-2025
We've finished the Cirrus powered 'Lakes and will be advancing to the Menasco, followed by the Fairchild, Kinner, Warner, and Lycoming versions. Also the Phenick Field scenery will be updated to roll back to a civilian venue with period appropriate static and AI aircraft. Here is the Phenick Flying Service aviation school plane at Phenick. The screen were taken in P3D but look identical in FSX

thats beautiful work there, Spad

what a great looking bi-plane the Great Lakes was and is....

Paul - any updates on the Lycoming or Warner engined GL's would be appreciated mightily...:kilroy:

Cirrus Engine Lakes is complete,This week begins the Menasco Inverted 4 cylinder version, after the inline engined Lakes are completed a redesign of the Lakes Fuselage will be needed to accept the Radial engine Installation as per the Real Bird.As well as assorted modifications.......Best Gil

Great Lakes Update - Menasco Powered Lakes

We've finished the Menasco powered version and the featured livery is that of the Great Lakes flown at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, the unofficial home of G.A.S. The Ranger powered is next followed by the Kinner, the Warner and Lycoming versions. Still a ways to go but as we accumulate parts, each conversion is a bit easier. 6 - 8 weeks away from completion, I think.

I think you have a real winner with this collection, Paul

do you think you will split them up - or will this be one large pack, all or nothing?

man that Burgundy over Cream looks beautious

Not really sure, Heywood. It's worth considering. We really have not talked about that possibility.

the Great Lakes and the Waco assortment are similar in the variety of the engine / airframes available...

Wow! I'm kind of picky about my biplanes; O.K., all planes. But I really like the way this plane looks with the Menasco power. I can't wait to see the rest. Nice work.
