GAS Stearman Special Offer 20% Off List

That control isn't mapped at all. I will try calling Precision Flight Controls tomorrow and see if they have any thoughts.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Tom

Spad54,

I was on the phone with Precision Flight Controls today for over an hour. They said my PFC system is working properly. However I am
still having problems with the trim and the throttle interacting. Whenever I move the throttle, the trim starts to move. If I back off on the throttle the trim moves back in the opposite direction. It has worked perfectly a couple of times but then just quits working again.

I have a copy of your 2009 release of the Stearman and it works fine. Needless to say, I am confused as to what is happening. I am also having the same problem with the recently released Just Flight Stinson L-5. I don't have problems with any of my numerous other planes. Are new releases being done with a new S/W system?

I have had my PFC system since 2002 and don't recall ever having this problem before.

Ant thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Tom

Great job guys!

I was blessed to have about 30 minutes of dual time in a Stearman several years ago, so I trundled off and recreated it. Put just about as big a smile on my face as the original experience (lacking only the cold breeze).
Now to see what the next 100 or so hours can bring... :adoration:

Startup issue

I enjoy the Stearman. In P3D V3, I noticed that I can just start it up with the CTRL + E keys and not use the crank handle/Starter switch. Also, if I do use the crank handle, the animation works fine
and it rotates and I hear the noise it generates okay, when the crank handle animation stops and I go for the starter switch, the prop will rotate but the engine never fires up - I have to resort to using
CTRL + E to actually light the engine off.

Hi

The model can be started in any of 3 ways. CTRL+E, right click the mag switch, or use the Crew Start Panel view. A perquisite to method 2 and 3 is that mixture be set to rich and battery switch to on. I just tried each sequence in V3 and its working as designed. Please confirm switch position prior to start. I know it seems counter intuitive to need the electrical system energized before using an inertia starter but ....................

Thanks for the help. Using the hand crank option, I discovered that I had to crack the mixture control up a little so that when I activated the started clutch handle, the engine would light off and
prop would spin. :encouragement:

Thanks

Thanks to all who supported us with their purchases of our Stearman. The sale period has ended. If anyone by special circumstance was unable to participate please feel free to pm me this week and we'll make it available on an individual basis. Rest assured we remain hard at work developing the "Super Stearman" conversions. The exterior of the A75L300 is well underway

Thanks Paul!

I got it with the sale but because I was travelling I could not try it out until yesterday. Overall impressions are very good. Last year I was looking for a good Stearman and ended up with the VS version (which I liked) and was wondering how it would compare but am happy to report the VS stearman has been moved into the hanger, it was your better panel that made the difference.

I did have a problem with the download link in the email, when I tried to use it when I got home the link had expired, fortunately I did download the installer to the macbook I use while travelling and got it from there. The fact you if you need to download it in the future you can't just go the original link might make me hesitate to participate in the presale again.

The only other issue I had was one of my own making as I installed in P3D v4 outside the main install folder (I setup an add-on folder where I have all my GAS aircraft installed) and it complained about missing sound files, only after I patched the panel file with the full path to the sound files it needed did the warning go away. It would be nice if it was setup to install into an external add-on folder for P3D v3/4.

Thanks again for a great aircraft.

Thanks for that feedback. Anyone who has purchased one of our projects will always be provided an unlimited number of downloads and can request that through PayLoadz or our Support email.

Check this out - looks like it would build into a decent desktop representation..
