NachtPiloten's and gecko's TOW Searchlights uploaded

I was about to upload these yesterday morning local when the power went out due a snowstorm til just recently. It's now uploaded at http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=13 under all the subheadings. Should be available in a few hours. This was actually done in early 2018 but I guess it was felt improvements might be possible at some time but everyone has been too busy to do more at the moment. My sincere apologies to NachtPiloten for forgetting he had actually done a lot of the work!:wiggle:

These searchlights were made by Ted 'NactPiloten' Kaniuka and Dan 'gecko' Holtz earlier in 2018 and are now being released as the best searchlights so far for any install using Ankor's shaders. Some might compare them with WOFF and WOTR ones but we believe these are at the least comparable if not better. However there is one thing that should be pointed out and that is blue lights don't seem to work well with current shaders30.

Those who don't have Ankors shaders should check out the GC Searchlights that are at

http://regshanger.net/Groundcrew/ho...round Crew Garage - Searchlights for CFS3.php

and are well worth getting.

I have taken facilities from those GC lights and substituted in the tow lights to give you some facilities to use in missions. Sometime in the future we will be releasing and series of gsl entries and accompanying files covering the German Defensive Search and Flak lines such as the Kammhuber Line (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kammhuber_Line), and these TOW lights are used in those facilities.

It's worthwhile following a discussion on searchlights here. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforu...-to-searchlights/page2?highlight=searchlights

INSTALL:

1. Just copy the folders into your install and over write anything (back up if you want to before)
2. Add the lines to your TextureMagic file.

That's it.

Any questions post on SOH.

Thanks James, though they would be much better described as Ted's searchlights, since he was the one who actually made them. I was involved, but I didn't make them.

Just a couple of videos of Lancasters crossing the Kammhuber Line. Normally they would be quite separate from each other for flight safety reasons in night flying plus less of a target. I spaced these at '5" in the mb spacing. You will have to download then watch without saving as I'm not sure how to have a mp4 actually run here.

First Lanc coned!

Next one caught further behind.
