Well, the idea is to build four basic versions: Mk.1, Mk.2, Mk.3 and, already made, Mk.5. All others are similar to Mk.5 and need only different skins, dps and airfiles.

That's all folks!

Nice project, and lots of possible new textures.

Baltimore was used by the French, the Greeks, Italians, and the whole palette of the Commenwealth air forces...

Not quite visually. The Mk.I and Mk.II had open dorsal gun positions, whereas the MkIII was fitted with the same four gun turret as the Defiant. The Mk.IV and Mk.V were fitted with the Martin turret.

After trying to texture the Silvia Baltimore V this one should be a pleasure to paint! I can't wait for the conversion to CFS2.

I can send you the panel bmp... the texture..

send me the panel and the texture...

The texture will take a little time as I have only done the wing tops... as you
commented... Francesco does use a lot of texture files... small but nonetheless
quite a few...

looking good!!!

I redid the Italian texture...

Very nice Pepe... I think that the langing gear door interiors can redone too... those black holes are not very convincing (on the original)...
Send me the textures, I like the exterior overall very much... if you don't mind... I'd like to see close up your work on them...
Very, very nice... could maybe use some weathering...
Ate logo..

Are you guys going to download a conversion of the Baltimore? I converted it to CFS2 and the textures are transparent. What causes this? (I am a novice when it comes to textures). I corrected the propeller arcs by using Rami's FDG2 B-17 update. I liked Gaucho's panel and would like to use it. Is there any way I could get a copy of your textures?

open each texture in DXTBMP editor. then save them as either a DXT1 or 565. pay attention if it has an alpha channel. if it does save it as a dxt1 or you can leave it as a dxt3. if there is no alpha then save it as the 565. that sould take care of the transparent textures.

I'm sending three versions today for you:

British Desert Air Force Mk.2
Free French Air Force Mk.4
Italian Co-Beligerent Air Force Mk.5

I just received the Mk.3.

I created a BMP file using your panel JPG sample to work up a panel, just to hurry up processes.

Cheers

Allways use DXT1. Convert them to 24 bits bmp. After that, reload them and save as extended bmp (I always use 555.1 16 bits format, DXT1 gives a poor finish).

Cheers

Peperez,

All around, this is an outstanding effort. Great work! :salute:

Superb job overall. The only niggles for me are that the guns shouldn't protrude from the leading edges of the wings and the Boulton Paul four gun turret has a much lower and flatter profile.
