Global Overdrive

WarHorse47

SOH-CM-2024
Recently, I had to replace my 3-year old video card with a AMD Radeon (TM) R7 360 Series card.

Although the card works well with all my apps, I'm not so pleased with its performance with FSX. Despite reducing some of my scenery and other settings, I'm still getting fps in the 15 to 20 range whereas my defunct card was running around 30 fps. And since I made some tweaks to the FSX.cfg for my older card, I'm not sure if they would still affect or improve FSX with the newer card.

The newer card is supposedly better than the older card, but I'm struggling on how to set it up. Apparently, I can activate something called "Global Overdirve" which I believe is for overclocking the card, but I'd like to know more.

So... does anyone have any good websites that might help me reconfigure FSX or the video card for better framerate performance?? Or am I stuck with an underperforming video card?? Anyone??
