Greetings all. I'm happy to report the external model of the Firefly is done. Maybe. After 6 months or more of pushing vertices around, I think I have the shapes and positions as true to the real world plane as I can tell.
Now I'm attempting to map using the LithUnwrap way. Well this is why I say the external model maybe finished, because it seems that I am now chasing after little discrepancies in the lines and vertices which are preventing me from getting a clean UVW template. Man this is frustrating...
So my questions are concerning this process. Just so I can understand this better, the rogue verticies are caused by a) unselected micropoly between two lines?
b) unwelded verticies?
c) a single poly stretched between two shapes? ( looks normal in Gmax, but Lithunwrap says no)
And so, I wonder how much to fix? Since I'm not sure why I can't get a clean template even though I've been meticulous in selecting the polys. Maybe I'll start there first...baby steps...baby steps...
Thank you for your help.
