Go-Flight Module Sale from PC Avaitor

jmig

SOH-CM-2025
I received this email form PC Avaitor. Years ago when I first got interested in cockpit building I purchased a series of Go-Flight modules for my first sim pit. I still have them and they still work.

If you want a simple way to use real switches rather than the mouse to operate cockpits, Go-Flight is a good way to get your feet wet.

I am C&Ping the email here in case someone is interested.

Only recently I suggested to my wife that I was contemplating building a sim. I can get a hold of a real Cessna 172,Rallye ms880 or Piper Arrow airframe (missed out on a Luscombe 8a)and was visualising how it'd look in my garage! Needless to say...Mrs KD isn't overjoyed at the prospect. :kilroy::engel016:How difficult would it be to utilise the real instruments/flight controls? Failing that I could always mount a LCD in situa as a mock G1000 kit and use the standard Saitek yoke/rudder setup.

Using real gauges can be done, however it isn't easy. Most electric gauges are 28vdc. The end devices have to be simulated, usually with stepper motors or servos. If you are interested in more info on converting real gauges to a simulator, PM me.

Many cockpits use a LCD covered by some sort of panel for gauges. I curently do this with my standby gauges and PMFD in my pit.

Lastly, you can purchase actual simulator gauges but they are rather expensive.

Thanks for the info,John. At the moment my plans are a little pie in the sky...although...[LINESTRIKE]if I'm let [/LINESTRIKE]should I decide to go ahead with my plan I'll be sure to drop you a pm. :salute:

You can always build your own mostly from scratch, like Tommy over at HC.
He's been working on his 206 cockpit for over 2 years now.... (So far 11 pages of pictures and diagrams)
