Going for the Gold, Merc Air style

After a delay down at LaGuardia, the Merc Air Stratoliner just landed at CYUL Montreal. We're going to just overnite here and take off tomorrow to head back to KLGA starting the event.

Besides, we got to round up a couple dozen passengers

Got the Swedish Bikini Team (SBT) on board as stewardesses, all 24 passengers are either in their seats or their sleeper berths. Payload weight is 5725lbs with an aircraft take off weight of 40609.

Merc Air One is departing Montreal heading to LaGuardia on a night flight with full luxury service. See yall there!

Had a malfunction in the cabin pressurization. Dropped down to 10500ft.

Wonder what these four switches marked Blower High/Low mean?

Arrived at LaGuardia in one piece and kept it on the runway no thanks to a pair of one candlepower landing lights.

Per Duenna files:

Take off Weight: 39873.7 lbs
Landing Weight: 38084.1 lbs
Fuel Burned: 1789.6 lbs

Baton Time: 01:29:09

No pictures Willy??

What happens on the Strat stays on the Strat. All part of the Merc Air luxury service.

I've been stuck at LaGuardia waiting on some cabin pressurization compressor parts which finally showed up this evening. Should be taking off for DC here in a bit.

Well, at least he's got my hat on. :d

Merc Air Sky High Luxury Night Service taking off KLGA to KDCA with 5725# payload and a provisional TOW of 39589#.

Note to self.... High/Low blower switches don't do anything.

Had a real wx error and restarted it. Duenna is still looking good so hopefully that's the end of that.

Duenna is still green, but now the crazy thing is saying I've refueled. That's news to me as I've already got more weight onboard than I care to. I dropped it to 40% fuel when I was setting up the flight, but I darn sure didn't add any.

Landed in Washington DC (KDCA) with a valid Duenna. This newish LCD monitor sure beats the old CRT for flying at night.

Per Duenna files:

Take off Weight: 39573.0 lbs
Landing Weight: 38336.2 lbs
Fuel Burned: 1236.8 lbs
Total Fuel: 3026.4 lbs

Baton Time: 01:01:26
Total Time: 02:30:35

2 Night flights down

One thing about flying in 1949... You can fly right over the Capitol and no one says a thing to you about it.

Prepping for takeoff to Atlanta GA (KATL)

40609# TOW
5725# payload
10200# fuel on board (FOB)

Last nightflight then convert from sleeper configuration to day passenger setup.

Double dratted headwinds... I think I'm somewhere over western North Carolina now.

One thing I've noticed about cruising along at 13-15000ft altitude, you're right in there with the cloud tops. :d

Just noticed that my screenshots are giving my location. So I've unchecked that box on my screenshot program.

Landed successfully at KATL.

Will edit with other info after I get back from feeding the horses.

EDIT:

Take off Weight: 40581.3 lbs
Landing Weight: 37208.4 lbs

Fuel Burned: 3372.9 lbs
Total Fuel Burned: 6399.3 lbs

Baton Time: 02:27:21
Total Time: 04:57:56

All 3 Night flights completed

2 Commercial Centers

Added one pic from KDCA prior to starting the engines

Should be getting close to the Florida state line.

RealWx is throwing a fit. Clear, solid fog, then back to clear, then back to fog, and so on. Also winds aloft are spinning around like a top. I hate it when RealWx can't make up it's bloody mind.
