Going Green!

Well, with all the Global Warming stuff going around, I felt it was time that I went green. More accurately, that it was time for one of my favorite sim aircraft to go green. Actually two shades of green...Lexington Green on top and Tavern Green on bottom. I think the color scheme looks great on Brian Gladden's Beechcraft Volpar. Just rolled the plane out of my Orcas Island based aircraft restoration facility to see the new paint job in the light of day and to give the newly rebuilt and polished R-985s a gentle break in flight. Still have the interior to redo....lots of leather and varnished exotic woods are in store.

Very pretty Obio! Neat greens -BTW: did ya ever find the missing textures for Orca (buildings & misc.)?
Take care.

Never did get Orcas Island to work fully. I think the problem lies in the fact that I have it installed in non-GW3 setups.

Cool Tim! I actually had the privelidge of flying right-seat as a passenger in a Volpar back in 1989 from Rum Cay, Bahamas to Port St. Lucie, FL. Love that airplane -can still smell the salty avgas and hot & humid cabin if I think hard enough ...

very nice Tim.
I wasn't aware you had
an Orcas Island based aircraft restoration facility.
when you get ready to select your exotic woods,
make a short hop over to Port Townsend
and come visit us at Edensaw Woods.

we specialize in exotics.
I might be able to get you
the Super Bro Discount

btw, we even made it onto a Modern Marvels segment.

Obio, saw some very pretty planes at KPAE, including a butter yellow cessna bobcat with green trim. Perfect condition, and shiny chrome spinners. That soft green is a pretty skin for the volpar, care to try it on the howard 500?

whoa... smilo! awesome wooods, is that what you load on your Big Rig?

well, that was fun...
I flew my new Volpar Amphibian
from KCLM to the harbor at Orcas.
somebody please, tell me
that isn't a sunken volcano.
looked around for OBIO,
but he wasn't around...so it goes.
after a nice lunch,
it's time to fire her up
and head home to Sequim Bay.
all I need now is a set
of those fancy Go Green textures
and I'll be as happy as a pig in a puddle of poop.

thanks Tim, this one's a keeper. :salute:
