Going to try my hand at decorative nose art

Today, the other side of the duplex Deb and I live in got equipped with central air conditioning (our side had it when we moved in 5 years ago). Well, when all was said and done, there were two pieces of sheet metal duct work left behind as scrap. 2 feet by 1.5 feet maybe. I am going to cut the sheet metal into shape of panels from a bomber (not sure which ones yet) and ATTEMPT to paint some nose art onto the sheet metal. If they turn out halfway decently, I will hang them on my office/sim room walls as decoration. If they come out like the flowers I painted on Deb's plant stand....they will go where they were originally headed...the trash. I can't paint flowers..not sure if I can paint nose art or not. Will find out soon enough I suppose.

either use a self-etching primer to paint over as a base, or wipe down the metal with vinegar first. the galvanizing on the metal resists the adhesion of the paint.
