Just made my first flight at night and in the weather from Pitcairn to Jim Dhaenens' Floyd Bennet Field. Needle, ball and airspeed isn't easy. I have much respect for those early mail pilots.

Thanks Paul and GAS for this fine airplane and scenery at a really great price. :applause:

Is $19.95 the regular price and you get a 20% discount, or is $19.95 the price with a discount?
If $19.95 is the regular price, do you need to put in a code to get the discount?

I do not have a pay-pal account and do not wish to get one, is it correct that I can just pay as a guest and use my Visa card?

The regular price will be 24.95 20% off is the price quoted here. The product is being offered via PayLoadz. There is no specific "guest"access. It will be available via our regular vendors in a week.

A brave first flight. Thanks for the kind words. Now try CAM route 20 in snow. Not for the faint of heart

Thanks for the reply, the link you provide mentions paying as a guest if you don't have a pay-pal account. Just wanted to make sure it could be bought without a pay-pal account.

Looks like DC-3 Airways Air Mail flights which include the lighted beacons will work in FSX. I will be busy with this airplane.

Many thanks to the GAS team for another fine creation. I look forward to trying this out later this week when I get a chance.

Steve,
Just out of curiousity, is the link below the file you were referring to? That's an excellent idea for this plane. I don't know why it never occurred to me to try the DC-3 airways stuff in FSX, since their files were some of my favorites in FS9 Golden Wings. Thanks!

Yes Mark, that's the one. The FSX link seems to just have the flights. I used the scenery (which is just the lighted beacons) that was in the FS9 download. Seems to work fine with a beacon every 20 miles or so.

Cheers,

Isn't it nice to have a developer who specialise in these rarer old birds! Another great addition to the stable. Any chance of going British and developing a decent Fox Moth in the future?

We've never discussed that but one never knows. I just researched that one and it's a unique looking ship

Yep probably better known in England and the Commonwealth - certainly had lots up in Canada doing bush flying in the 30's, 40's and 50's -on and off floats - even had a Canadian version with enclosed pilots cockpit - was the standard air taxi of its day and used by a lot of start up airlines. There are a few in museums up there i.e. in the Bush Flying Museum in Sault Ste Marie, national museum in Ottawa - and I am not sure if this one is still flying up in Ottawa/Gatineau http://www.vintagewings.ca/Aircraft...nguage/en-CA/de-Havilland-DH-83-Fox-Moth.aspx

Has the nicest colour scheme of any Fox Moth I have seen in my opinion and quite a history - was the 'Royal' runabout for a certain disgraced English King.

Anyway whatever you produce usually finds it way into my hangar - makes a change from a lot of developers who churn out a slightly different version of the same old Boeing or Airbus, or even these days mainstream GA Piper/Cessna/Diamond aircraft. I mean how many diffferent versions of an Airbus A320, or Cessna 172 does a guy need? I wish a few more had the imagination to make something slightly different.

I know that I set an expectation that the discounted price would remain until Saturday but I had to revert the product to its full price today as it is going out to our vendor network. If anyone missed the opportunity and still wishes to purchase at the discounted price, I'll make that happen. Just PM me here and we'll take care of it off line. Thanks everyone for your continued support of our efforts.

Best

thanks to Steve Parsons I now have the GAS Waco back in the air in DX10..
