Golden Wings 3 and Golden Hawaii are seperate but fit together very well, as in GW3 adds a new 'Period' environment while GWH adds a specific scenery 'zone'.
Silvers Wings is another 'Period' environment and is not meant to work with GW3.
Cal Classics scenery compliments Silver Wings very well IMHO.

GH includes period scenery, such as battleships and an ai blimp. GW doesn't have these, but does still have the Arizona Memorial.

GH has, as mentioned above a switcher, and doesn't require a whole new installation. Personally I'd give GH a go first within an existing FS2004.

Well, if you have a separate installation for GW, the way to go is to make GH a permanent part of GW, using the instructions linked by Roger to keep GH from mucking up Oz and NZ while saving you the trouble of switching off GH whenever you want to fly down under.

Along the same lines, another must-have is Bill Lyons' Classic Goose package. It adds the Pan Am Clipper terminal to GH and/or GW (it works with or without GH.) It also adds a string of mid-Pacific islands full of secret Japanese bases populated with AI Zekes and Bettys. One of the themes of Classic Goose (the Goose being of the Grumman variety) is to riff on the world of the old TV show "Cutter's Goose."

When I made up the "USS Lexington World Cruise" (multiple placements of Paul Clawson's CV-2 USS Lexington) I dropped a copy in a position to make attacks on those Jap bases. Paul's SBC-4, SBD-1 and TBD-1 make good planes for those raids, as well as David Wooster and my T4M-1 and the Donationware F4F and SBD.

Yes - if you want good a/c for GH/GW do a search on Bill Lyons.

I never thought of flying 1941/42 from Lex - I happily potter between her, Sara and Ford Island in the F4B or, when ambitious, the F3F.

Great stuff to know,Thanks Guys I wonder if it has the mail route for the tin goose in Put-in-Bay Ohio.Hey also theres two installs for GH into GW3.I am kind of confused.I think I'll make another seperate install for GW3, and using the instructions incorperate GH into it.If like it I'll make another install for silverwings. Which install of GH is the one that won't muck up Aus-NZ.The one posted earlier, or this post here.Link http://mainescenery.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=gold&action=display&thread=4614 Thanks again.

I've got installs of both GW with GH permanently locked in like Roger suggests and SW with the Cal Classics airports that I call FS 1954. I've also got the Classic Goose scenery installed in both.

Another fun airport to add to both is the Phenick Field scenery that's included in Bill Lyons' Travel Air package. (you also get a AI train to chase along with a pretty cool hanger and grass field :d).

Also I recommend Mick's Springfield Mass scenery that comes with his Gee Bees.

I've installed Mick's USS Lexington (CV-2) around the world pack and his USS Langley (CV-1) pack in both GW and SW as I like the old straight deck carriers. In Golden Wings I've also got Bortdafarm's Scapa Flow carrier set of WWI vintage British carriers and in Silver Wings, I've installed a pack of the USS Lexington (CVT-16) that puts it off of Pensacola near CV-2 Lexington and in Corpus Christi bay. But in Golden Wings, I think I've got 4 old carriers hanging around off of Honolulu. One can never have too many aircraft carriers ;).

Bill Lyons did a lot of great stuff for FS and I miss waiting to see what he was going to come up with next. I wish he'd have stuck around but hope he's having fun in his retirement.

It's scapaflow.zip here in the SOH downloads. Search for d/l's by bortdafarm. A fun package, works with FS2002/2004. :)

Some great packages Bill Lyons has done. One of the big reasons I stay with FS9. In addition to those mentioned, there are numerous other scenerys/aircraft for GW3 that make it an incredible experience.

Hey Willy I can't download Scalpa Flow, there's an error when I open it, that says No archive found.:kilroy: thanks

With regard to scenery for Bill Lyons' a/c, the small fields by Leon Louis take a lot of beating, with their barbecue fires and fireworks on summer evenings.

Phantom, I have the original zip. Send me a PM with your regular e-mail address and I'll send it to ya. Didn't d/l it when I posted earlier, so I didn't know about the glitch. :redf:

I think you can get Bill Lyons' stuff at the Old Hangar, but a search at Simviation or Flightsim.com will probably find some.
