A quick Google of your card shows the reason, it is not built for 3D graphics. It's ok for general VGA graphics, but it doesn't have the stuff to be able to run 3D. If you can add about $25 to what you paid, there are low price NVidia cards that will render amazing 3D graphics. Sorry!

The card can and will run FSX (and any other game). Just make sure to install the drivers, get them at amd.com, or if you can't find them for some reason, try the CD that came with the graphics card.

Wish you good luck.

It's a slow card though.

Don't know where that error statement is being generated from, but as far as I can tell, it's full of BS. Says it needs the ATI card to be an 8500 or greater!!??? I'm running a 7770 just fine, which replaced a 6750, which also ran ok. My previous machine had a 4800 class one, running XP for the OS, and it also worked ok. Something very weird going on there.

I think the error message is referring to an older generation of the Ati Radeon cards(and obviously the long outdated geforce3 cards). The 8500 it's listing I believe is an old 64mb AGP slot card. I just ordered a new i7 core system with an 2 gb 7770 card which I tested on another system before I bought it. I runs smoothly. I agree that something is wrong in your system somewhere that's preventing your card from working properly or even being read.

Also make sure your chipset drivers are up to date. Sometimes something in those prevents the video drivers from being installed correctly. I remember nightmares with the old VIA chipset. If you didn't install it's driver first, you didn't have a prayer of getting the video drivers working.

I occasionally get that message when FSX is loaded after it has not closed down correctly.

All I do is either reboot the computer or re-load FSX.

Thanks for all the help everyone I tried updating drivers and all that jaz but wasn't able to get it to work so I returned it and put my old navidia in it beside needed the gas money lol
