Hello all, just got the game and installed fine. Problem is when i run it , it gets choppy and have all sorts of graphics problems, tearing, white patches, etc. I have Nvidia 8800GT, dual core PC, 3 gigs ram, windows XP. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Feros please see the FAQ on our web
Top sections go through configuring your graphic settings. Sounds like your terrain and scenery sliders are too high...

I fixed the problem for now- Set all graphics to 4 and that did the trick. Why wont it work on the 5 setting? Thanks Poloviski for your help. Awesome Sim!

>> I have Nvidia 8800GT, dual core PC, 3 gigs ram,windows XP <<

I have the same specs and I have the sliders at 5/4/4/5/3 with terrific results. Also, try these settings in the CFSconfig file:

Click on 'Window' at the top of the page and then click on 'Overrides'.

In the overrides section clear the tick in the 'Dual Pass Render' box and tick the 'High Resolution Z-buffer' box immediately below it. Also tick the following:
Disable Write-Only Vertex Buffers
Disable Write-Only Index Buffers
Disable Terrain Texture Ring Blend
To disable messages such as whether you've hit your enemy and warnings such as 'Stall' tick the boxes for Disable Chat, Disable Advisor Messages and Disable Simulation Warnings.
Now click on 'Window' at the top of the page again and this time click on 'Texture Info' and set the following:
Composite Terrain Texture Pool - set to Managed
Composite Terrain Texture Usage - set to Rendertarget
Composite Aircraft Texture Pool - set to Managed
Composite Aircraft Texture Usage - set to Rendertarget
Vertex Buffer Pool - set to Managed
Index Buffer Pool - leave as is - should be set to Default
Fullscreen Swap Effect - set to Flip
Now click on the 'Save' button at the bottom of the screen.
Next click on 'File' and choose 'Exit' - do not use the X close button as this will lose the settings you have just made.
Hopefully you will see some improvement with these settings.

The above was posted by Doublestop, and it provides great graphics for me.

If you can find enditall2 on the net, that works very well.

I have the following:

AMD 6000+ Dual Core
8600GT 1GB
2GB ram
44 processes running in the background

Before I used this program I was getting 13-28 fps in the german campaign taking off, and 35-40fps above 5K for some reason I always get better fps playing as the british, using enditall2 I have lower3ed my running processes to 27 and now get a steady 25-28 on take off increasing to 35+ just after I leave the ground and above 5k I get 48-50fps (framerate is set to max out at 50fps)

I hope this helps.

Thanks
