I belong to an established clan (Air Wolves), and I just ordered OFF. If there is adequate interest, I plan on starting a unit within our clan structure devoted to OFF.

If you think you would like to fly online with others, in a structured clan environment, then this is for you!

We'll have ranks, awards, competitions and all the other benefits an established clan offers.

Let me know if you're interested.

Regards,

Hi-speed

Just got my OFF in the mail this weekend, so I got it in just about four days -- happy happy pants on fire!

Here's my clans web site, it's under construction atm, but the the sign up sheet works. I'm recruiting OFF signups so we can start up a new squadronin the clan.

Hi Hispeed, Nice to have you onboard.
I haven't got my copy of OFF yet but when i get it up and runing which should'nt be to long now i will give you a shout.

Howdy and Welcome

Not to burst your bubble . . .BUT . .the Micro$oft CFS3 Server has been motionless for the past year or so.
Exactly where are the Air Wolves going to fly ? :ernae:

RE: Which Server?

Hi, Red, glad to see some interest.

We take turns hosting, and in some cases establish our own servers.

Our other main game is Falcon 4: Allied Force. there's one public server that's still out there, burt we just take turns, and it works fine. We just stay careful about running resource hogs like x-fire while we're online together.

No bubble burst there, I'm well aware of the CFS3 server situation.

I just got my CFS3 in the mail and expect to load up OFF tonite.

Hey Hispeed. You wouldn't happen to have been the same "Hispeed" who went by HSPD in Air Warrior and Aces High, would you?

Welcome to the forum hispeed. I think there is much interest in your offer but we don't expect a lot in the way of online play for many technical reasons (I don't understand them all) for instance I run Vista and at this point I am S.O.L. as far as I know. Some guys have been flying MP with some success.

RE:Online Play

Welcome to the forum hispeed. Well, sorry to hear about your situation w Vista.

As far as online play, I think it has to happen. The Team says they met their contributions quota and will be around for another year. I would imagine that viable online play is the single most critical feature for continued success in their venture. I'm also sure they realize that online play is vital to encouraging a loyal COMMUNITY for their product line.

Bottom line is, if the Team is able to establish a solid online server capability, they will have job security -- if they fail to do that, then...I guess the result would go w/o saying.

Keep the faith and join us anyway -- Seawolves is one of the original online gaming clans, and supports numerous games for air land and sea! :)

There's a very well established, quite large (and well organized) group who fly OFF co-op missions online on a regular basis, and they've been doing so for quite some time. 60 Squadron......headed up by none other than that well known mission-making machine, Pilotsden. They also fly various modded versions of IL2 on a regular basis.

The online functionality of OFF is very much alive and well. Just ask some of the many guys who are fortunate enough to have flown online, and continue to fly online with the highly regarded and aforementioned group.

If anyone is looking for pointers, Bob (aka Pilotsden) is an excellent place to start.

Cheers,

Parky

Update/Bump

I found the 60th web ssite and signed up on the forums only to discover they aren't supporting OFF anymore. Pilotsden also made a post to that effect. Sorry to see that happen Piolotsden, I hope you guys resurrect your support for online OFF!

Yep,

Spoke with him yesterday and was deeply saddened to hear he has chosen to move in that direction. He's about to hear from me again. He just doesn't know it yet.....lol.

RE: Online MP

Roger Parky & Sumpjumper...

Btw, our clan allows double squadding and you'd be welcome to sign on with Seawolves for Air Ops only -- we don't play IL2. we currently support Falcon 4: Allied Force, Pacific Fighters, Jane's FA-18, FLight Sim X and LockOn. Of course, I'm hoping to get OFF added to the list soonest!

I'm pretty sure it will happen, I'm doing too much for them to have my request ignored :engel016:

:woot:

welcome

Hi, and welcome aboard.

Your past experience with servers could come in very handy.

Hope to see you in the air soon.
