My father once owen an Grumman American trainer, AA1A. I flew it a fair bit. The plane was a bit more sensitive on the flight controls due to it's short coupled fuselage. It was especially very sensitive on rudder. Also added a wee bit more needed power.
By the way, if memory serves me correctly, the original designer of the AA1A was Jim Bede. The plane was stout and had a large tubular aluminum spar that also doubled as the fuel tank. I saw my father loop his. The little plane was very nimble and had a very good cruise, but on a hot summer day you had to be careful getting out of a 2600 ft grass runway with 2 adults on board.
Here are the tweeks I made if you care to give it a try. Simply make a copy of the Aircraft cfg and then cut everything in it and copy and paste the entire contents below into the new copy.
Before anything, rename the original cfg file to something other than "Aircraft" then name the new test copy "Aircraft". If you don't like it simply delete the test copy and rename the original cfg back to 'Aircraft' and you will be back to where you were.
Copy and paste entire contents: Don't worry about the (\\) backed out areas as they are what the original numbers were. You can use them as reference to the changes I made.
