Grumman Duck released

jankees

SOH-CM-2024

A fully native conversion for Paul Domingue's Grumman Duck by flyndive, with a bit of help from Paul and myself for the textures.
It includes the J2F-4, J2F-5 and J2F-6 models, each with severla textures, both military and civilan, and of course the version that rose to fame in the movie Murphy's War.
I hope you'll like it!

This looks like a treat. Thanks flyndive and jankees for the efforts on this. Looking forward to trying it out.

I gave it a try and its a treat. Flys nice, some of the cables are a bit thick but thats super minor.
They mentioned in the docs you can install a more modern GPS but did not see how to do that, but did discover they have an invisible autopilot that you can use if you have the buttons mapped.

One interesting effect I noticed. I started at an airport that was raining, I could see the rain drops landing on the canopy. As I started to move forward to take off the rain drop started to move on the canopy, but they were moving forward not rearward as you would expect.

Yes, that has been noted, together with the vent holes on the fuselage on the J2F-6 versions that should not be there. We are working on updates, but we want to see what else pops up, a bit more patience please

meanwhile, I've uploaded a few imaginary paintjobs, all on fs.2:

Love the Kermit Weeks plane. I remember seeing that at the Miami Airshow (OPF) in 1989.

Thanks for this beauty. It looks, sounds, and flies beautifully. Did a quick flight around Hawaii and was impressed with the water handling.
