• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Guided tour of the Rolls-Royce factory

OK. You've got me going now! I have got my knickebein working more or less now, and X-Gerat is just a variation but you seem to be producing something much better. Is that Y-Gerat or an X_Gerat version. I ask because Y was basically remote bombing on a single beam. In any case need more input!:wiggle:

Well frankly yours might be a lot better. I'm interested. I have all the stations for knickebein and X-Gerat in my global layer thanks to Ted's work. based on your A.I. work, you probable have it in a programme as opposed to my simple sound facilities.

Wowed once again Steve - really cool! Also, I'm extremely glad navigation equipment has progressed so much since then. If I had to navigate by listening to that tone for hours on end I'd be ready to kamikaze that factory before I got there.

I have been priveledged to test the beta Knickebein app; in fact all wrapped up the Steve's great A.I. radar plus plus app and just one function of this. Initial testing of a mission I did with my primitive knickenein faculties now defunct! Steve's system is so much better and less work. I only have to fine tune the exact relationship between the knickebein's release signal and my intended target. In this test the signal came a fraction late so placement of that beam facility needs to be a little further from the target. This is an edited video of the mission "28_29 Aug 1940 KGr 100 Knickebein Liverpool", as I can pick up the beam at 50+ miles from the target with no issues. The YouTube quality is not as good as the mediafire one though, which I will leave up for as while!
