Just install the Ph3 it is very very nice game but I think the gun sound is very quit. Any idee how to make the gunsound louder in Ph3?

Yes, I find the gun sound is rather overpowered by the engine too.

But, I'm loving this sim so far. The realism and the feeling of being there is superb.

Have you played with the sound settings in the workshop?

On realistic setting the engine noise will overpower most other sounds, as it should.

The ambient setting lets you hear more things, but is a bit more Hollywood.

There are also individual controls for engine, cockpit, effects etc. I don't know where guns are included in this (I have only used 'realistic' and plan to stay that way) but if you experiment a bit perhaps you can get it more to your liking.

I will try to experiment with some gunsound from RB3.

Dutch you could open up the individual gun sound files in windows recorder...raise it , save it and that's it. probably easier than hunting down RB sounds.

I have alot off RBstuf, but mk2 thats maybe a better plan thanks

Engine is meant to be loud, that's the prime reason pilots kept looking around. You couldn't hear the other airplane coming over that engine, and if was shooting at you, you'd never know it till your aircraft shuddered from the bullet impact

I'm really amazed at the guy flying his P51 at 400mph, with a totally enclosed cockpit, could hear a damn thing when his Guns fired

Which is one of the reasons for the FFB Joystick :kilroy:

Please don't do that... .take it from a guy that modded RB3D... NOTHING in any RB3D will sound as good as the guns in OFF.

I made all the gun sounds (and about 90% of the engine sounds as well) for Phase 3. They are based on the idea of you being in an open cockpit.

It's lower for a reason.

But if you MUST have it that loud. Open it in Sound Recoder, and just jack-up the volume % until your deaf. Remember to make a back-up copy of the originals 1st.

OvS my hats off to you , the sounds are amazing in P3. As far as the gun sounds, does the sim use all the XXGun.wav files in the folder?

Thanks a mil. It took a lot of testing and emailing the guys back and forth for testing. :)

No, but keep looking in there, you'll see them. :) I can't say specifically, but you'll see them.

All the best,
