One of the little let downs with FSX was always the treatment of some of the more spectacular corners of the world; thankfully the freeware community has taken up the cause.
a new one I fell across today, the karst formations of Halong, off Haiphong. By Jean-Pierre Filon, on the FSX Quebec website-loads of interesting stuff there.
Anyway, it has an auto installer that went off perfectly, saved flights, loads of custom shipping, sampans, resorts, even a Helio and a P-boat conducting a hoisting exercise. A perfect playground for 'boats and amphibs, or conducting an 'Endsweep' operation. I noted no conflicts with the Vietnam war scenery, though some hot air balloons and a 737 were parked at Catbi- I must look into a scenery exclude for that. Really nice work, and a terrific off-shore playground!
