Hamilton Island about to take a beating.

The job applicants need a special attribute.....able to withstand cyclones. It's batten down the hatches time, Cyclone Hamish opposite Townsville cranked up to high level cat 4 today. And aiming straight at Hamilton and other Islands. Wind speed around the centre 260 kph, central pressure 950 kPa, and heading this way south-east and parrallel to the coast....it's a nasty one.
 
As of 23.00 the news reports are not encouraging for the entire Whitsundays.
Most of the resort islands have been evacuated I gather.

It's wound up to a catagory 5 overnight. Still tracking slowly south east parrallel to the coast Sunday morning. Don't like the look of this one.
