I have been researching the Hampden and her missions..
Thanks to Daniel for sending several pages of information..
The Hampden has been sent to another master for polishing up for the this Missions package..
They were well used as i have learned during the war..

"RAF heavy bombers target German shipping to hinder the anticipated invasion of Britain: First 2000-lb bomb is dropped by a Hampden of Bomber Command - against the German warship Scharnhorst at Kiel (the pilot of the Hampden was Guy Gibson, later of Dambusters fame)"

Some of the outlines for missions I now have..

"Hampden bombers breach the Dortmund-Ems aqueduct, delaying the movement of invasion barges to the Channel coast - Flt Lt Roderick ‘Babe’ Learoyd wins VC for attacking the aqueduct despite ‘the most intense point-blank fire"

As the Hampden is finished for release as a WIP..
I will include the historical missions developed from the operational reports I have been sent and researched online..
Hobbit mission factory is in full operation..
And there is Much rejoicing!
And singing and dancing naked..:icon_eek:
okay no dancing naked..
:icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Very interesting; however I was not clear if the Hampden will/is released as a WIP or after it has been sent to another master for polishing up?
Interesting water colour there?

I have sent the Hampden to the Major for polishing up..
Once I have the Hampden ready I am sending her to Clive and Jeff, for a look over..
then out to all..
Once it is returned it will be ready for release with the missions package..

Several of our Masters have danced with the Hampden in a effort to get Her ready for release as a WIP..
As they say she has come a long way since I first received her..

I am Grateful for the help so kindly given by our Masters to get this Bird set up for All..
In the read me to accompany Her will be full credit for all who have helped out on this project..
:salute: :salute: :salute:

She's looking great Owen! Really like the screenshots too! Am looking forward to seeing this one released. :applause:

My wife is out of town this weekend and it has been raining today, so I'm finally getting to work on the Coastal Command skin this afternoon.

And there is much rejoicing!
I sent her to Master Rob to have a look at the gun stations..
Once I have Her back from this with the CC skin I will be ready for a upload I do believe..
Thanks Major..
:applause: :applause: :applause:

Same for me, this aircraft was very active above Brittany during the early stage of the Battle of the Atlantic (Brest, Lorient, Saint-Nazaire...)

I am pleased to say i have learned a great deal about this little bird..
Granted she wasn't the "best" medium bomber it did a lot of work in the early part of the war fighting, and losing sometimes..
The Hampden as it is now will be a WIP work in progress..

Not a perfect model, but a useable aircraft for those who want to see Her in the sim..
Something perhaps later one of our Master modellers might re-do in the future to meet the high standards held by the men who fly this..
Of course I am not the perfectionist concerning this..If it flys I can wreck it!! :gameoff:
Oh yea!

The Hampden project is just awaiting permissions from the Masters..
Need to get this for the WIP model we have..

The Hampden will NOT be a Perfectly correct model (No Gun-stations)
As it is right now..needs a complete rebuild on the Model files..

But perhaps I might receive permissions to allow this to be released as a WIP for now in the missions package I developed.
I just build the missions and don't have any skill at modelling Bummer.

As is possible for now anyway..

There have been many Masters who have helped out and had a look at this model..
Slipstream, Major Magee, Gosd, Capt. Winters, Pat Pattle, Sbolt all have had a Big hand in helping to get this sorted out ..
And the model we have was a CFS2 model done by, Ted Cooke..

The list of men who have had a look is long, and I wish to Thank All who have made a effort in this project..
I just build the missions, and have no skill with Aircraft models..
Those here that have helped with this I owe a great debt of gratitude..

It will be a WIP Work in progress for now.
As we say in The Shire, better then nothing and good enough for government work..
Grateful to all for this effort
Thanks Guys..
Now to polish up the missions and get them out to be tested..
off to wreck a few things..
